FOXLEY Population -   275	Description of area and parish Foxley is a very ancient village mentioned in the Domesday Book.  There is an impressive moated site of a former Manor House, a Medieval church and extensive natural woodland once a hunting ground of kings.  Bawdeswell and Sparham were once part of the Manor of Foxley.
Today the village is cut in two by the modern highway between Norwich and Fakenham.  Two flourishing industries exist here. A seed and plant breeding company called Floranova and the Davis Egg packing farm.  There are a group of holiday homes known as Moor Farm Stable Cottages, with fishing lakes.	Foxley Wood in May
ST THOMAS CHURCH, FOXLEY	Late 13C chancel and tall decorated tower.  Pretty entrance porch with 680 year old door and very large key. Two-decker pulpit, box pews and gallery.  Decorated screen.  Paten of early 15C and Norwich made Chalice, 1567. Grade II* listed.
