THE AREA Norfolk has
many attractions for the holidaymaker, from country and coastal walks to
golf, fishing and numerous family days out. For example
Pensthorpe Bird Reserve, Thursford Fairground Organ Collection, the Norfolk
Wildlife Park, the Dinosaur Park, the Norfolk Broads, Sandringham, Houghton
Hall, Blickling and Felbrigg Halls, Muckleburgh Army Museum and the RAF Radar
Museum, and of course Norwich. Norwich is
a fine city, in medieval times second only to London. It has a Norman castle,
stately cathedral, outdoor market and some of the best shopping in the
country. It boasts more medieval churches than in any city in Europe. On the
coast there is the North Norfolk steam railway, the Victorian seaside resorts
of Cromer, Sheringham and Hunstanton, the great Holkham estate and its spectacular
miles of sandy beach, salt marshes, bird sanctuaries. There is something for
everybody. Check out the Links page for
websites of all these attractions and more. |
