Apple Cottage On one floor, looks out on a quiet courtyard, with its own little sitting-out area. Sleeps 3 in fold-away beds behind heavy curtains, one double, one single.

Possum’s  Once Vere Lodge’s nursery, and named after the children’s nanny. Pine stairs lead to galleried bedroom and bathroom. Sleeps 3, double bed in gallery, single in alcove in living-room.

Pump Cottage  Warm and inviting with its open fireplace. Ground floor. Sleeps 2 in one bedroom with twin beds or king size bed as required.

Honeysuckle Cottage  One of a pigeon-pair with Rowan. Sleeps 4 in one double and one twin bedroom. Conveniently near the Leisure Centre and Indoor Pool. Has its own patio for sitting-out. Open fireplace.

Rowan Cottage Identical to Honeysuckle, with large through-house living/dining room with alcove kitchen. Both are cottagey cottages with lots of pine and pretty colours. Large sitting-out patio. Open fireplace.

3.  For Large Families

 

Dahlia Cottage   Sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (one double with en-suite bathroom, one twin, one with two full-size bunk beds). Own patio with garden furniture for sitting out.

Thyme Cottage  Sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (one double, two twin). An “upside-down” cottage, with upstairs living area with fabulous views over fields of blue flax or golden mustard. Own patio.

Lavender Cottage  Our “log-cabin”, converted from the one-time coach-house. Sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (one double, one twin, one with two full-size bunk beds). Secluded patio.

Rose Cottage  Faces south with a walled garden. Sleeps 7 in four bedrooms (two double, one single, one with two full-size bunk beds). Rose is very popular – “just like home”, as one young visitor said. Open fireplace. Bathroom and separate toilet upstairs with shower room and toilet downstairs.

Robin’s Nest   Sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (one double, two twin) all on one floor, bathroom and separate shower room and toilet. Its large garden is screened from the outside world by high flint walls. Open fireplace.

Secret Garden   Slightly larger than Robin’s Nest, sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (one double, two twin) all on one floor. In its large garden, shielded from the outside world, peace and seclusion are absolute. Open fireplace. Bathroom with separate toilet. Additional 2nd toilet.

Finally . . .

The cottages are very well furnished and equipped. Vere Lodge is a family-friendly place, where each member of a family can find something which delights them. It also provides an exceptionally beautiful environment with 8 acres of lawns and colourful flower-beds, sheltered from the outside world by a protective half-circle of mature beechwoods.
