A Brain Storming Meeting was held in the Village Hall on the 3rd July , with an invitation to villagers to come along to express any criticism, or to help generate any new ideas.  This was attended by some 30 villagers, which was both pleasing and encouraging for future events.  There were lively discussions, and plenty of suggestions and ideas put forward; certainly enough to keep the committee occupied in thought for the coming months.
It was decided to hold next year’s event on Sunday 8th June (Father’s Day is on the 15th June!).  The general consensus of opinion was that events need to be fresh and innovative to continue the interest of the visitors, and just as importantly to try to maintain an edge over the stiff competition around at this time of the year.  All agreed though that Foxley Open Gardens Day is going to remain a yearly event.

There is an open invitation from the Chair, to anyone who would like to help with such tasks as PR, printing, advertising and so forth.  They would be very welcome.  Incidentally, if anyone did not make the meeting, for whatever reason, but has suggestions that they feel could be put to good use for the next year, the committee would like to hear from you.  And last but not least, to the villagers n general…. the Committee would like to thank you sincerely for your continuing moral and financial support.
