Meeting Dates May 6th, 20th, June 3rd, 17th
The
Julian Meetings across the UK must run into hundreds. It all started over thirty years ago in
what was then the Old Rectory at Billingford, the home of Hilary Wakeman. We became the Mid Norfolk Group, the very first, and I was made
contact person as we are called. Hilary
is now Worldwide Convenor. Yes
we have grown and grown. There
are twenty-four Julian Meetings in Norfolk alone. Now it
is crunch time and I am going to retire from being contact person, a little
sad after so many years. Our new
contact person will be Susan March (01603 870342). I know
that she will be wonderful. Irene Ames
Wellspring
Family Church. This is a church that meets at the
Dereham Neatherd High School on Sundays at 10.30am. We belong to the New Frontiers network of churches, which is
world-wide. Four years ago a similar church in Holt and Jubilee Church,
Aylsham, saw a need to plant a church in Dereham and so Wellspring was born.
From a handful of people the congregation has grown to 45 adults and 22
children ranging from babies to teens. The children stay for some of the
service and then go to the classrooms in their age groups to learn about
Jesus in a way for them to understand. There are meetings in the week in
people's homes called cell groups; "cell" meaning that we grow and
then multiply into 2 similar groups. One of these groups usually meets
in Bawdeswell on a Wednesday evening. We invite you to come along and
receive a warm welcome, but if you would like to talk to someone first ring Tony
and Ruth Sansom at Bawdeswell 01362 688055, or Jon Beardon, one of
the elders in Dereham, 01362 694635. |
