The choir ICENI was established in September 2006 with c45 members, under the directorship of James lilwall, with the primary objective to sing to a high standard with a wide repertoire from early church to Broadway collections, giving concerts, having fun and enjoying the music !
There are 3 terms each year. Rehearsals take place at Bawdeswell Parish Church, which is warm with full facilities, on a Wednesday evening from 7.30pm until 9.30pm with a short 15 minute break at halftime.
We are very honoured to have as our president, Hannah Francis, who recently moved to Norfolk from London. Hannah has been internationally successful as a singer. Having studied at the Royal College Music, she was for a number of years the principal soprano at the ENO. Hannah now devotes her time to recitals, concerts, master classes and teaching. Hannah is teaching classes, individual or in groups at Bawdeswell during the week and is helping with the choir’s technical voice and tone production.
Each member pays a minimum subscription of £15 each term, which enables the choir to be financially independent.
The new term begins on Wednesday 25th April at 7.30pm.
