Benefice News and Events

Didn’t they do well?! Every report from the Benefice ladies’ lunch has been full of praise for the excellent food, the attentive service, and the calm organisation which all led to a most enjoyable meal. Thirty four ladies attended the lunch and the donations received (£185) have been sent to the charity Breast Cancer Care. Thank you to everyone who helped and attended and made the first ladies’ lunch such a success.
Fundraising Events for this month are:
· Thursday 16th Village lunch in Lyng

· 29th at 10am – Annual Children’s Society Coffee Morning at Foxley Lodge. Please bring your collecting boxes for emptying.
Also:

· The Remembrance Day Service will be in Bawdeswell for the first time in the new combined benefice, though sadly this year without some British Legion stalwarts, among them Billy Mant, Hugh Henley, and Albert Peachment.
Instead of Advent groups, there will be an Advent discussion course on Women Bishops. Soon, all parishes will be asked to discuss this in PCCs. But if you want some in-depth preparation, or you are not on the PCC but are interested in the topic, just come. Four Wednesday evenings, beginning November 29th in Sparham Old School Room, 7.30pm
